Falling Plates

Description

Each competitor is faced with six steel plates at 10m, which must be knocked down. The competitor begins with a pistol loaded with up to six rounds which is either benched (in which case the shooter retired two paces from the firing point at the start) or holstered (in which case the start position is at the firing point with the hands held at shoulder height). Upon command to fire, the competitor engages the targets, reloading as necessary from loose ammunition: use of extra magazines, speedloaders or other aids is prohibited. Match score is the time taken to the nearest second to knock down all six plates subtracted from 100. If all plates have not fallen in 100 seconds, the competitor will be timed out and must cease fire.
